Trail Projects for Bid
Below is a list of projects that have been submitted to the PTBA for bid. Please respond directly to the listing agency for further information or to submit your bid. The PTBA has no control or input into the contracting or solicitation of these projects. We list them strictly as a service to our members and the trail building industry.
Multi-Use Trail Construction in TN
The Trail and Bike Contractor will be responsible for building a multi-use mountain bike 3-mile trail and a 3-mile pedestrian walking trail within Camp Jordan Park on the city-owned 55 acres located north of and adjacent to Camp Jordan Park.
Request for a Project Manager/Construction Management in Canada
MORATA has received approval to construct a number of trails and we are looking for a project manager (PM) to manage our project from start to finish. All trail construction must be completed in 2 summers (trail completion to be complete no later than September 30th, 2025). The PM will be responsible for providing services to meet the deliverables as outlined in 2.0 Scope of Work of the RFP.
Construction of Multi-Use Trail in TX
Approximately 20-25 miles of natural and improved surface trails which will include both bicycle and hiking uses, are proposed. The primary purpose of which is to provide an excellent outdoor experience for visitors with a range of abilities. The Project also includes design, procurement and installation of Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) or similar, bridges as a part of the trail system.
Construction of MTB and Hiking Trails in MN
Construction of approximately 7.5 miles of beginner to intermediate level mountain bike trails conforming to International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) design guidelines and standards.
2. Construction of approximately 2.5 miles of pedestrian hiking trails conforming to Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MnDNR) Trail Planning, Design, and Development Guidelines and US Forest Service (USFS) Outdoor Recreation Accessibility Guidelines.
Hiking Trail: La Verkin Rim to River Project in Utah
Requesting bids for approx. 350' hiking only trail descending from the Virgin River canyon rim to canyon floor approx. 150' below in LaVerkin, Utah. Dark, basalt rock forms canyon rim and abundant fissured basalt rocks litter slopes below. Looking to use this native material to build a combination of trail tread and steps although open to other options.
Trail Clearing in Bitterroot National Forest in MT
Bitterroot Backcountry Cyclists (BBC) is partnering with the USDA Forest Service to complete trail clearing on the Bitterroot National Forest (BNF). BBC is currently accepting bids for a service contract for Trail Opening on approximately 120 miles of trails throughout the Montana portion of the BNF, outside of designated Wilderness areas.
MTB Trail Construction in Michigan
Construct a new 5.8-mile, bike optimized trail system consisting of a mix of beginner through advanced singletrack, flowy gravity trail, and gravity jump lines.
Bear Creek National Recreation Trail Reconstruction
Seeking partners to implement reconstruction of the Bear Creek National Recreation Trail on the Ouray Ranger District. This project prioritizes the protection of natural resources, mitigation of safety hazards, and keeping trail users on the trail. The cope of work focuses on constructing new retaining walls, maintaining and restoring failed retaining walls, installing or hardening shallow stream ford and gully crossings, replacing the railings on pedestrian timber trail bridge, and improving drainage.
Trail Rebuild and Site Improvements in MI
This project consists of site improvements to the Iargo Springs Interpretive Site. The existing vault toilet buildings will be removed and replaced. The existing information kiosk will be removed and replaced with new interpretive signage panels. The existing wood stair, from the upper parking area to the lower boardwalk, will be removed and replaced. The upper observation overlook decking will be removed and replaced. Select areas of the lower boardwalk will also be removed and replaced with at grade pathways, and new elevated boardwalk loops will be constructed across Cooke Dam Pond.
Route Inventory and Trails Conditions Assessment in Washington
Road and trail (route) inventories and trail condition assessments for sections of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Scatter Creek, Wenas, W.T. Wooten, L.T. Murray, and Columbia Basin Wildlife Areas, and for route inventory on Cowlitz Wildlife Area.
Biking & Hiking Trail Construction in Minnesota
Approximately eight miles of mountain bike trails and three miles of pedestrian hiking trails are proposed to be constructed in 2024 season. Mountain bike trail features will include a jump line trail, rock gardens, rock drops, and embankment turns. A pedestrian hiking trail system will be integrated around the perimeter of the mountain bike trail system with several smaller looped trails within the east and west segments of the site.
MTB Trail Construction in Ohio
This project for the addition of roughly 9 miles of trails, will create a stacked loop system and allow riders access from multiple trailheads. The new trails will allow for a more well-rounded cross country mountain bike trail system.
Development of a trail plan for a trail in Naples, NY
The Naples Trail Collective invites experienced trail planning consultants to submit proposals for the development of a Trail Plan for Naples, NY. The Trail Plan will be the shared vision and roadmap to develop and maintain an exceptional, diverse, and sustainable shared-use network of trails in the Naples, NY region of the Finger Lakes.
Construction of a 2001-foot universal access trail in Maine
Three Rivers Land Trust is seeking the services of a qualified professional firm to construct a 2,001-foot universal access trail at Sanford Community Forest in Sanford, ME, according to prepared engineering specifications. Trail trail passes through a young forest to a meadow where programming is planned. The average grade is just under one percent and the maximum grade is 5.75%. A thirty-foot puncheon is planned.
Construction of 7 mile shared use trail in WV
The City of Oak Hill in partnership with the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority is seeking qualified natural soft surface trail builders to construct 7 miles of shared-use and bike only singletrack at Needleseye Park in Oak Hill, WV. It is preferred that this work be completed by November of 2024.
CAMBA MTB Trail Reroute and Rehab in WI
CAMBA seeks a contract builder experienced in traditional, hand-built bench cut singletrack trails. Machine building with micro-excavator is an option.
Construction of 1 mile MTB trail in IA
Construction of up to approximately 1 mile of new, natural surface singletrack trails at Southwoods Park (350 S. 35th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). Base bid will consist of construction of approximately 1-mile singletrack trail loop suitable for intermediate users (blue route) and associated trail features. Project also includes three (3) bid alternates for alternative trail features. All work to include materials, labor and equipment necessary to complete project no later than November 1, 2024.
Shared Use & MTB Trail Construction in New Yor
Construction of shared-use mountain bike-optimized and mountain bike specific trails at the Hickory Ridge/West Hill Preserve in Naples, NY. The scope of work is for construction of approximately 3.6 miles (phase two) of a 13-mile master trail plan created by IMBA Trail Solutions.
