Trail Projects for Bid
Below is a list of projects that have been submitted to the PTBA for bid. Please respond directly to the listing agency for further information or to submit your bid. The PTBA has no control or input into the contracting or solicitation of these projects. We list them strictly as a service to our members and the trail building industry.
WEST HILL MOUNTAIN BIKE-OPTIMIZED SHARED-USE TRAIL SYSTEM PHASE ONE TRAIL CONSTRUCTION
The scope of work included in this RFP is for construction of two Project Components totaling 3.5 miles (phase one) of a 13-mile master trail plan created by IMBA Trail Solutions. Trail alignments for the 3.5 miles of trail have been flagged in the field and are described in the West Hill Master Trail Plan. Vendors may submit a bid for construction of one, or both, of the Project Components.
CORA Little Miami Natural Surface Trail Corridor Design RFQ - OH
Project Description: Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance, an International Mountain Bicycling Association Chapter organization, seeks qualified trail design teams interested in providing design services for approximately 17 miles of Natural Surface Trails braided along the Little Miami Scenic River and Ohio to Erie Rail-Trail in Hamilton County, Ohio.
This RFQ intends to select a design team by qualifications to provide the initial design services for this project. The budget for the design phase is $25,000
Salvation Army High Peak Camp Trail Construction and Maintenance Request For Bid - CP
Projects include natural surface trail maintenance and construction, aggregate surface trail maintenance and construction, timber step construction and boardwalk construction.
Wildcat Mountain Trail Project (Huron Manistee National Forest) - MI
The project includes approximately 15 miles of new trail construction, 11 miles of repurposing a decommissioned equestrian trail for mountain bike use and restoration of both decommissioned equestrian and user created trails in the project area.
Scrag Mountain Town Forest - Phase I Trail Construction - VT
The Town of Waitsfield Conservation Commission is seeking a contractor to complete the construction of approximately one mile of sustainable, natural surface singletrack for hiking/walking.
Z – Malheur NF Wilderness Trail Maintenance - Oregon
The four primary line items require logout and brushing on the trail segments based on USFS standards. Four optional line items complete remaining deferred maintenance to bring these trails up to USFS maintenance standards.
Whipple Trail Restoration Project- CO
The Town of Buena Vista is seeking proposals for the maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to the existing Barbara Whipple Corridor Trail.
Little White Oak Mountain Trail Network - NC
The Project consists of the on‐the‐ground design and construction documentation for approximately eight (8) miles of natural surface, mixed‐use, mountain bike‐optimized trail that is part of the LWOM mountain bike trail network.
Trail Assessment for Adaptive Mountain Bike Accessibility - Bend, OR
Project Description: Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA), in collaboration with the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) and Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS), is seeking bid proposals from qualified contractors to provide professional services to conduct a trail assessment around Bend, Oregon. The purpose of the trail assessment is to improve accessibility and information resources for riders of adaptive mountain bikes (aMTBs).
Roanoke County RFP 2023-006 Mountain Bike Trail Rehabilitation and Construction
Roanoke County is requesting sealed proposals from qualified vendors to provide rehabilitation and construction consultation at Explore Park's mountain bike trails.
Guffey Gorge Design Build Trail - CO
Design and build a safe, traversable walking trail for the public to enjoy the Guffey Gorge Trail, Guffey, Colorado.
Bradley Park Pump Track - CA
Construction of a dirt surface bicycle pump track and (3) bicycle jump trails at Bradley Park.
Desert Peach Trail - NV
Construction of approximately +/- 1.8 miles of new non-motorized, natural surface, singletrack trail
RFQ - East Bay Regional Park District Trail Construction Projects
The East Bay Regional Park District is planning to construct three new natural surface, non-motorized trails, totaling approximately 7.35 miles. The trails include technical features such as retaining walls, trail bridges, tree removal etc. Construction will take place over the next two years, and provide access to areas previously closed to the public or offer enhanced trail experiences.
2022 - 2024 Trails Projects Prequalification - UT
Bountiful City was also awarded a $500,000 grant for trails work. Bountiful City anticipates having 51 miles of new trails and 5 water crossing bridges built by the end of 2024.
Hammond Ridge Trail Construction - Phase 2 - ME
Katahdin Area Trails (501c3) is seeking bids from experienced trail contractors for construction of non-motorized, bike-optimized, shared-use trails on Hammond Ridge, located near Millinocket, ME. The scope of work included in this project is for approximately 4 miles of trail construction.
Bitterroot National Forest Trail Opening - MT
Trail Opening on more than 200 miles of trails throughout the Montana portion of the BNF, outside of designated Wilderness areas. The type of work includes: “Logging Out” all downed or leaning trees within the clearing limits (width and height); “Loose Rock Removal” of all rock larger than 6” from the trail tread; and “Drainage Clearing” of all drainage structures.
BAILEYS TRAIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - OH
The project includes approximately 28 miles of construction.
Round Top to T-Hill Connector Trail 2022 - WY
Construction of approximately ±7,000’ of new, natural surface, non-motorized trail. The work also includes the purchase and installation of six 12” culverts with armored wing walls, 120’ of armored trail, and four fence crossings.
Algoma Trail Network - Sault Ste. Marie Ontario
Project Description: Tourism Sault Ste. Marie is looking to expand the City's current mountain bike trail network, with a combination of flow trails, enduro and modern xc tech/flow trails. We are soliciting bids for the construction of trails. The bid document is separated into phases with the contractor having the ability to bid on one or more phases. Work can be split between 2022 and 2023 if required.
