Site Preparation + Corridor Clearing
Prepare the trail corridor for trail construction by clearing or managing vegetation, trees, logs, rocks, debris, and other materials as needed to safely access and construct the trail while protecting resources and minimizing unnecessary disturbance.
Trail Tread Construction
Construct the trail tread based on the approved trail design, corridor and/or alignment, and construction specifications through excavation, bench construction, shaping, grading, compaction, surfacing, finishwork, and management of excavated materials.
Drainage Features
Construct specific drainage features used to manage surface or subsurface water affecting the trail.
Tread Hardening + Surfacing
Construct tread hardening or surfacing treatments where native tread alone does not provide the durability, stability, or finished surface needed for site conditions, intended use, or project requirements.
Trail Structures
Construct trail structures needed to cross obstacles or wet areas, retain soil, accommodate changes in grade, support the trail, or provide specific trail functions. Structures may include bridges, boardwalks, puncheons, retaining walls, steps or stairs, raised trail structures, and other structural elements.
