Project Description: Trails Utah (TU), a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is requesting bids from qualified contractors to construct a non-motorized backcountry/singletrack recreational trail to be an alternate route to the Rattlesnake Gulch Trail in Millcreek Canyon, Salt Lake County, Utah. Project includes determining exact alignments and constructing a new single direction mountain bike climbing and dual direction hiking trail approximately 1-1.5 mile long on an 6-8% average grade with 6 to 10 sets of switchback turns. In addition, we are requesting a separate bid to reroute the top 0.1 mile fall line section of the existing Gulch Trail with a 0.2 mile long section on a 12% grade with three switchback turns.
