Project Description: Trails Utah (TU), a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is requesting bids from qualified contractors to construct a non-motorized backcountry/singletrack recreational trail for shared use in the foothills along the east bench of the Salt Lake Valley. Project includes approximately 3.5-4 miles of new Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST) and an additional half mile of neighborhood connector trails. Elevation gain from start of proposed trail to high point is approximately 550 feet. Terrain consists of 20-60% side slopes of rocky soils with some rocky outcrops. Vegetation type is grassland, sagebrush, and Gamble oak woodlands.
