Project Scope: The scope of this project includes developing a trail plan and design to be implemented in three phases.
Phase I—Singletrack trail system for shared-use with integrated mountain bike race and training course. Trails and trailheads in this first phase of the plan begin at the very lowest reaches of Butterfield Canyon. This is the ONLY phase of the project to be bid as a design/build.
Phase II—New trails to connect Butterfield Canyon Trails with Yellow Fork Canyon. In this second phase the emphasis is connecting the two adjacent canyons via new trails.
Phase III—Build out of trail system in Butterfield Canyon. The emphasis in Phase III will be to add shared-use trails to the system at the upper end of Butterfield Canyon, and in Yellow Fork Canyon, where appropriate.
