Kingsbury Stinger OHV Trail - Realignment - Stateline, NV
Project Description: This project will realign the final 1.5 miles of the existing Kingsbury Stinger OHV Trail, so it no longer terminates in a residential neighborhood.
The Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA) is requesting cost proposals from professional and experienced trail builders to build approximately 1.5 miles of new 50” wide multi-use trail (ATV/moto/bike/hike/equestrian) near Stateline, NV during 2022 and/or 2023. Part of the new trail construction will include a 0.25 mile section of table top jumps, rollers and berms near the bottom trailhead.
This project is only for the construction of the new section of trail, not the removal of the old trail or trailhead improvements.

SCOPE OF WORK:
- Build approximately 1.5 miles of new multi-use (ATV/moto/bike/hike/equestrian) trail to realign the bottom of the Kingsbury Stinger OHV Trail. Approximately 0.25 miles of this trail will have table top jumps, rollers and berms incorporated.
- 50” trail tread with protrusions of up to 6” - 12" allowed.
- Intermediate to advanced level trail
- Full bench construction or utilize native rock for outside retaining walls when full bench can’t be constructed into hillside.
- Up to 72” machinery allowed.
- Must meet USFS construction standards.
- Contractor will need to provide all tools, equipment, labor.

The following information should be included in each submitted proposal:
- Qualifications and Experience (years in business, evidence of insurance, evidence of contractors license, number of staff, equipment to be utilized, experience, projects on USFS land, etc.)
Identify at least 3 examples of similar natural surface trail projects in process or constructed within the past 3 years (at least one that had jumps).
- List mechanized equipment you plan to use.
- Availability (when can your company start this project and how long will it take)
- Please provide 2 references from projects your company has completed.
- Cost proposal inclusive of everything described above as the scope of work.

SELECTION PROCESS
Selection of contractors for this project will be based on an evaluation of factors including qualifications, experience, cost, availability, and references. Contractors must demonstrate a history of successful trail construction projects in a timely and professional manner. The final decision will be made by the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association’s Board of Directors.
