Job Title: Trail Crew Member
Job Description: Be a part of a 4-person crew responsible for routine trail maintenance and small projects through the fall season. The crew consists of three crew members and one crew leader. The crew works on trails throughout Vermont’s State Lands, focused in and around the Northeast Kingdom, and travels between work areas. The crew will be based out of the Groton State Forest Maintenance Shop where tent platforms and basic amenities are provided for days off. Position requires previous experience on trail crews or similar work. Wilderness First Aid and Game of Logging Levels 1-3 certifications are encouraged but the successful candidate can also gain these certifications as part of the position training. This position will run from the end of August to the first week of November and will be responsible for general trail work associated with State Lands trails and recreation assets.
