CAMBA MTB Trail Reroute and Rehab in WI

To Whom would you like your solicitation available: Open to the Public

Project Title: CAMBA Trail Reroute and Rehab - Ojibwe Trail

Project Solicitation Number (if any): None

Project Description: CAMBA seeks a contract builder experienced in traditional, hand-built bench cut singletrack trails. Machine building with micro-excavator is an option.

This project will be executed in two phases.

Phase 1: Approximately 10 segments of trail of varying length are to be rerouted. Distances range from 180 to 500 feet totaling 2,500 feet of new reroutes.

Phase 2 comprises 5,000 feet of reroutes. In many cases the existing trail will be retained as an alternate line. It may be necessary, however, in limited instances to obliterate the existing trail on both ends of the reroute for a line-of-sight distance. Reroutes are not contiguous and are located throughout the length of the trail. Other rehab work will be performed intermittently as detailed by the RFP.

The project trail is 18" - 24" wide with a desired level of difficulty of Moderately Difficult/Blue and will include occasional rock features and optional B lines. This is CAMBA's oldest trail and has had various levels of rehab and rerouting over the years. The goal of this project is to finish that effort and bring the trail up to recognized standards.
