Bountiful City Trails - UT

Background

The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide trail corridor alignments for all future trails identified in the 2019 Bountiful Trails Master Plan and within the Bountiful area consisting of a minimum of 20 miles. The trail corridor alignments will provide a backbone for future development in the trail system.

Project Overview

The current request is for a trail professional to provide the best trail corridor alignments of the various trails in the Bountiful area including the trails listed in the Bountiful Trails Master Plan.

Project Scope

3. Field observations and assessments are expected, within the proposed alignment corridors, to determine slope angles, general landscape features, vegetation, soils, surface hydrology, and any existing geologic hazards that might affect feasibility and cost of trail construction.

4. Propose intended user types, optimized uses, trail classification, etc., for each trail.

5. Provide a three hundred foot (300’) wide alignment corridor for all new trails.

6. Produce maps that at minimum include five-foot (5’) contours, the 300’ alignment corridors, identify cross-slope grades, necessary bridges, number and location of switchbacks, etc.
