Job Title: Trail builder
Job Description: Titus Trails is looking to hire a qualified individual with experience operating excavators of any size. General working and maintenance knowledge, understanding of equipment capabilities and limitations, and willingness to learn the art and skill of trail construction are required. Past experience and knowledge in the sustainable trail construction are not required however preferred. Additional skills such as mechanics, certified chainsaw, certified first aid, experience working with youth, avid mountain bicycle or dirt bike rider will all be considered during the application process. References will be required to satisfy qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
• Work outside in all weather conditions
• Prioritize safety, understand dangerous situations and mitigations
• Hike to, from over uneven terrain 1-3 miles per day, and remain in remote job site locations for 8-10 hours
• Perform routine daily inspections and maintenance of machinery
• Sit and bounce in an excavator 6-8 hours per day
• Push, pull, lift approx 50lbs at one time
• Follow directions, learn from directions, and become self-guiding
• Work in a small team atmosphere, with importance based on quality work, respectful interactions, and attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits
Starting hourly wages will be based on knowledge, experience. Benefits such as retirement will begin after one year.
