Job Title: Trailbuilder / Head of Bike Operations
Job Description: We are a private, family-owned trail system consisting of 20+ miles of professionally built trails spanning nearly 650 acres in beautiful Charlottesville, VA. We are seeking a full-time trail crew member to help oversee our mountain bike program. Our bike program currently consists of a) maintaining and selectively building/modifying the trail system, b) overseeing fleet of 15+ bikes including coordinating routine maintenance with a contracted 3rd-party mechanic, c) engaging with the local mountain bike community (local schools/scholastic bike teams, mountain bike clubs, philanthropic organizations, etc.) to facilitate periodic access to the trails and to occasionally host events. Candidates should have experience operating both machine and hand tools. The trail system includes a combination of flowy singletrack, cross-country, and downhill park-style trails. We currently have a strong team of 3 dedicated crewmembers who are responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the trails. We are looking to hire an individual with meaningful experience and passion for building and maintaining high-quality trails and interacting with other members of the mountain bike community.
