Additional Project Bid Information: The selected contractor will perform the following work:

Clearing of a 6-foot-wide trail through a closed canopy forest stretching approximately 1.5 miles in length. The path should be nonlinear creating an entertaining hike for visitors to enjoy.

The pathway should not cause the need to remove large native trees. This means targeted trees of removal should be smaller in size and representative of understory vegetation.

The removal of all vegetation within the 6 foot path is required and any exposed stumps should be grinded down below the natural surface or completely removed to prevent tripping hazards for hikers. The result should create a level natural surface with minimal ruts.

The pathway should avoid low elevation areas or creeks/gullies, when possible, to achieve the best possible dry hiking conditions. There will be areas that are unavoidable, but the best possible path should aim to avoid areas of high saturation.

Felled woody debris may be left on site but off the trail.
