Project Description: Complete renovation of ADA compliant trail approximately 2500' in length in Big Cottonwood Canyon at 8,700 feet of elevation, Central Wasatch, Utah. Removal of deteriorated wooden retaining structures and rebuild of a retaining wall using rock approximately 900' in length. Heavily visited scenic lake area with abundant wildlife and sensitive wetlands areas. Special attention to preventing erosional runoff into adjacent lake needed. Materials such as additional fill dirt, gravel, and crusher fine for trail tread will need to be imported to the area. Trails Utah and Salt Lake Ranger District of the UWC NF are project partners.
