EXCERPT FROM RFP:
1. Bridge Design Development:
The Vendor shall:
1. Prepare design drawings for submittal, modification, and approval by the LSC. The Vendor shall
revise the plans based on comments received from the LSC. At the 50% and 100% design
phases, the Vendor shall provide an estimate of probable construction cost.
2. Prepare bridge design plans including, but not limited to specification of length/width of bridge,
necessary footings, and bridge approaches. Decking and railing, if wood, shall be black locust.
The approximate minimum sill or abutment elevation shall be 302.0 ft. S e l e c t i o n o f
ma t e r i a l s must comply with Federal Buy America standards.
3. Submit three (3) sets of the Construction Documents to the LSC for review at 50% and 90%, and
three (3) sets at 100% completion, sized 22” X 34”. The Vendor shall revise the Construction
Documents to reflect the review comments as necessary. The Vendor shall provide a list of all
review comments with a written response for each, indicating how each comment was addressed.
Electronic (pdf) copies of submittals shall also be transmitted to the LSC. 100% design plans
shall be stamped by a registered engineer. Any required drawing revisions o f 1 0 0% p l a n s
due to regulatory review are the responsibility of the LSC.
4. Attend several virtual meetings with the LSC during the course of this design project.
