Project Title: DuPont State Recreational Forest Trail Improvements and Reroutes 2023 Informal Contract
Project Description: Briery Fork Trail, Grassy Creek Trail, Hilltop Trail, Sandy Trail, and Wintergreen Falls Trails are very popular multiple use trails located in DuPont State Recreational Forest in Transylvania/Henderson Counties, NC. The purpose of this contract is to construct new trail tread along rerouted portions of trails, rework and improve sections of existing trails, and rehabilitate sections of abandoned trails in order to make these trails more sustainable in the long run. The rerouted sections of Briery Fork Trail and extension to Grassy Creek Trail will be gently graded and meandering traditional rolling contour trails that may be traveled in both directions.
