Project Title: Fort Hill Park Trail Improvements

Project Description: The work for Bid No. 2019-008 consists of corridor clearing, treadway definition,blazing,construction of timber box steps, installation of kiosk and interpretive signage, installation of benches and bicycle racks, installation of puncheons, minor sidewalk extension, and minor masonry repair in Fort Hill Park in Peekskill, NY. In addition to the blazes, there are three (3) additional types of signage for the Project. Also part of the Project are trailhead kiosks, interpretive signage, and wayfinding signage.
Additionally, there are three (3) ‘Alternates ’as described in detail in the Technical Specifications and on the Contract Plans. "Alternate A" is masonry work to be completed at the stone steps entry on Decatur Avenue.The work generally includes the reconstruction of the existing stone pavement, fieldstone walls and stops, accessories and hardware to complete the installation, and protection of stone during transit, storage, erection and after installation. "Alternate B" is the clearing and treadway definition of a new trail with one (1) interpretive sign as shown on the Contract Plans. "Alternate C" is the construction and installation of timber puncheons at various trail locations as shown on the Contract Plans.

Additional Project Bid Information: A USB flash drive of the Contract Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained as of Monday, July 8, 2019 from 9A.M. until 4P.M. at the Department of City Services, Bureau of Public Works, City Hall, 840 Main Street, Peekskill, NY, upon payment of $10.00 for USB flash drive.This is a non-refundable fee. No paper copies will be distributed. All Bidders must submit one (1) USB flash drive containing all completed Bid documents as part of the bid package.
A Pre-Bid meeting will be held at City Hall the week of July 22. The meeting is not mandatory, but prospective bidders are strongly urged to attend.A site visit will immediately follow the Pre-Bid meeting.
