Project Description: The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NOVA Parks) is seeking a contractor to provide labor, supervision and equipment, to perform the following tasks for approximately 6.5 miles of the multi-use Bull Run/Occoquan Trail, located in Fairfax County, Virginia between Fountainhead Regional Park and Bull Run Marina:
• Assessment of the current trail conditions and alignment for the best path of travel looking at grades, cross slope, width, surface and water crossings, to determine any needed design changes, realignments or opportunities for improvement for the long term sustainability of this multi-use trail.
• Based on the assessment and trail conditions the contractor will develop a written report/plan documenting the assessment and data collected for the entire 6.5-mile section.  
o This report/plan should include:
 Recommendations for improvements and potential realignments
 A summary of all problematic areas and recommendations for corrective action, with each identified area summarized and depicted with photos (digital) on a GIS map  
 Identified actions and construction plans by location or trail section for each area that can be used to bid out and direct future construction efforts
 Cost estimates for construction and recommended priorities, based on the recommended improvements including possible approaches and recommended equipment
