PTBA hosts an annual conference that moves around the United States. Our conferences are capped at 300 people to create an atmosphere where attendees can connect through shared educational and social experiences. Conferences are open to any attendees and typically engage land managers from federal, state, regional, and local agencies, trail nonprofit leaders and volunteers, and private sector trailbuilders. In 2023, PTBA partnered with American Trails on the International Trails Summit which brought together 900+ individuals. In 2025, PTBA plans to partner again on the International Trails Summit in Madison, WI, and then will host our own events in 2024 (GA) and 2026 (TBD).
